Magellan Maestro 4000 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator
Categories: GPS Automobile, GPS Portable, Magellan

I had been pricing a GPS at many different stores but I decided to buy from Amazon.com because Amazon has a good reputation. It was a good decision. The accessories that came with the Magellan Maestro were just what I needed. It came with all cords, (AC charger and cigarette lighter charger for the car). I love the big screen, easy to program, and clear voice directions. When you divert from directions it quickly changes to redirect you.
It works very well but needs a 2008 map update which costs about $65. I don’t need to do that right now, but may consider it in future. I recommend this for the average traveler. You might want to look into others with bluetooth technology and other functions that might be more for your lifestyle.
All in all, I like it very much. It has lots of great functions like time to destination, speed, average speed, etc. I have never gotten lost and its data bank straight from the factory is not bad. A few businesses that have closed down or streets that have been re-routed a few years ago are not updated but that is minor for how many streets are pre-loaded. The AAA function is very nice if you have an account with them.
